WD Baseball is partnered with DeForest Travel Baseball to provide our community athletes with additional baseball opportunities beyond our recreational league play.
Players must be registered and participating in WD Baseball leagues to tryout for DTB Travel Teams.
In general, these travel opportunities feature more detailed evaluation of athletes and advanced levels of competition that require a higher level of commitment from families.
Teams will be created for age 9, 10, 11 and 12 based on athlete availability and skill level.
Please note that WD Baseball and DeForest Travel Baseball are separate organizations, run by different boards of directors. All questions regarding travel or non-league tournaments should be addressed to deforesttravelbaseball@gmail.com
Registration for annual youth baseball camps held by the DeForest High School Coaching Staff will open in early 2026.
Camps are tailored to teach fundamental baseball skills and a great way to get athletes some reps before the season starts.
The majority of our umps come right from our community with many playing the game one night and umping the next.
Community members 12 and older are encouraged to communicate with our umpire coordinator if they are interested in umping during the coming season. High School students will be assigned to our 13u and 14u games as their experience allows.
Umpires are paid per game with the rate determined by the level of game they officiate and the position (plate or bases).
Adults that wish to ump are also encouraged to reach out to either fulfill their volunteer hours (unpaid) or staff our middle school games that require a higher level of baseball knowledge.
