Pitcher / Catcher Camp

Information

What:  

Pitching and Catching are specialty baseball positions.  This camp is designed for players in grades 3 – 8.  DAHS Head Baseball Coach Harold Olson and his staff will help your son prepare for the upcoming season by teaching him the special skills needed for pitching and/or catching and by building his confidence to succeed at these positions.  

Where:

Camp will be held in the Main Gym at DeForest Area High School.  Parking is available in the west parking lot and you can enter camp through the PAC doors via the Circle Drive near the Main Entrance of DAHS.  

When: 

Sundays on March 3, 10, 17, 24.  

Camp runs 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

3:30 – 3:55 – Individual Work                     

4:00 – 4:25 – Bullpen Work                   

4:30 – 4:55 – Defensive Work

***Camp will be limited to the first 20 paid pitchers and first 20 paid catchers.***  

What Should My Son Take to Camp?  

 Your son will need to have a glove for the pitching camp and catching gear for the catching camp.  No catching gear?  Families may contact their summer team coach to get a set of gear from the league.

How: 

Simply complete the registration and waiver forms at the Windsor/DeForest Community Baseball League  website: http://www.wdbaseball.com and make payment by credit card.  

Cost:  $65  (No Refunds After February 1, 2024)

Helpful Reminders:  

  • Please, DO NOT bring baseballs of any kind to camp.  Baseballs will be provided for each session.  DO NOT wear spikes of any kind.  Gym shoes are recommended.  Wear loose clothing.
  • All campers must have their own health and accidental insurance.  Parents/Guardians must sign the release/waiver form during the registration process.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
